GoDuluthSchools.com has invited all Duluth Public Schools board members to share their Holiday 2009 plans with readers. Below are the responses we’ve received so far:
Tim Grover: “We’ll have Christmas dinner at home, spend time with our families. It’s always a treat to watch the small children opening their gifts.”
Mary Cameron: “I am anxiously awaiting my departure tomorrow for Minneapolis to spend Christmas with my son and daughter and their families. Although this will be a wonderful time with family, I will miss my oldest son, his wife and my two grandsons who are in Mason, OH for the holidays.”
Judy Seliga-Punyko: “We have a family tradition on Christmas Eve of going to the early children’s church service, picking up Chinese take-out and watching “The Christmas Story” — while eating and hysterically laughing at Ralphie’s escapades in securing the Red Ryder BB gun for Christmas. By the time the kids are in bed, I leave to sing in the choir at the late service. We open presents on Christmas morning. Our whole family looks forward to this longtime tradition.”
Ann Wasson: “I will spend time enjoying the beautiful music that our music programs provide. Spending time with my family and friends and, giving thanks for the great teachers, staff and administrators who provide quality education and opportunities for our children!”
