. Duluth East (10-16) plays host Blaine (13-13) in a Section 7AAAA high school girl’s basketball quarterfinal game at 7 p.m. today. The 7AAAA semifinals are next Tuesday at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m., and the final Friday, March 12 — all at North Branch.
. Duluth East (18-5-4) and Elk River-Zimmerman (17-7-3) meet in the Section 7AA high school boy’s hockey championship game at 7:30 p.m. today at the DECC.
. Duluth Denfeld and Duluth East is well represented in the Minnesota boys swimming state meet today at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis. Hunters competing include Aaron Stinson (diving), Jordan Verry (100 breaststroke) and Parker Adams (100 butterfly). Representing the Greyhounds is the 200 medley relay team and Joe Vecchi (100 breaststroke) and Anthony Vecchi (100 butterfly).
