Duluth East pounds Elk River 5-1, returns to state

Duluth East defeated Elk River-Zimmerman 5-1 in the Section 7AA high school boys hockey championship game tonight at the DECC.

The Greyhounds advance to the Minnesota Class AA state tournament next week, and will face a yet-to-be-named opponent in the quarterfinal round.
