Lake Superior College has hired three new staff members since spring semester wrapped up in late May.
Sherry Dalager is the newest professional advisor in Student Services. Dalager holds both a bachelor of science degree in elementary education and music and a master’s degree in reading education; both from the University of North Dakota. She also has seven years experience as an elementary teacher and for the past nine years has been teaching reading and FYE classes at LSC as an adjunct instructor.
Julie Thorne has joined the records and registration department as registrar assistant. Prior to LSC, Thorne was an administrative assistant with College of St. Scholastica’s Accelerated Learning department. She’s also working toward a bachelor of arts degree in organizational behavior from St. Scholastica.
Hilary Byard is the assistant to the VP of finance and administration and will serve as receptionist in the president’s suite. Byard holds a bachelor of arts degree in organizational development and communications from Concordia University in St. Paul and is currently completing a master of arts degree in organizational management at Concordia. Previously, she’s worked in such capacities as benefits coordinator/HR assistant and human resources analyst
